I offer a calm and compassionate presence for all of my clients. I am welcoming, and genuinely interested in understanding my clients so that I can support them to live their best life. I view counseling as an aid in your self-exploration and understanding, and prioritize developing a trusting relationship with my clients in order to be most effective in our work together.
I provide therapy for young adults, adults, couples, and families. Areas of specialty include: life transitions, relationship issues, personal identity exploration, anxiety, depression, mindfulness, self-esteem, and trauma-informed care.
I draw from a variety of approaches, including interpersonal, process-based, mindfulness, internal family systems, the Gottman approach, and cognitive behavioral therapies to work with diverse clientele, adjusting my orientation to meet the needs of each client.
I believe the relationship between client and therapist is key to the effectiveness of counseling. I always start out with a brief phone conversation to get to know each other and a feel for if we're the best fit for counseling.
